no, this post is really not about the secret to success or ending world hunger - it's about how to wear your pearls. i've recently begun to actively incorporate them into my wardrobe again. here are a few ideas on how they can make a fashion statement:

1. wear your pearls with jeans and a t-shirt - it's a simple statement of everyday fashion meets the runway. and don't forget to get funky with it - wear your favorite graphic tee and statement heels.
2. mix your colored pearls - some of my favorite pearl colors are rose, pewter, blue, and ivory. pick your two favorite colors and have fun.
3. diamonds and pearls - prince sang it best, but it's also a good look.
4. classic wear - when going to a tea party, business lunch or sunday brunch - pair your pearls with classic looks - a sheath dress, a classic white shirt.
5. try different lengths and widths - a long strand tied in a knot, or wrapped around the neck twice with the short piece close to the neck like a choker. i also love bulky pearls - wear two short strands together.

thought i'd take this time to introduce myself and my purpose for blogging. i'm kime smith (pronounced kim-e) and i have a passion for fashion! how many times have you heard that, right? well I'm putting myself out there and i'll let you be the judge. the name of my aspiring company is the glambassador. and yes you guessed it, that's me! i will be discussing everything from whats hot to whats not, giving advice for what to wear to work to what to wear on a first date. i'll also be posting pics of my self and others i style. it's one thing to get support and motivation from family and friends but the internet is the absolute truth; i know these comments will either inspire me or retire me in the world of fashion.
